Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

On this page you will find a list of frequently asked questions regarding the use of LMS. If you are experiencing a difficulty with an aspect of LMS and you cannot find the information you require, please email staff-support@webct.uwa.edu.au or phone 6488 8190.

 

How do I login to LMS?
Go to: https://webct.uwa.edu.au and enter your LMS Username and Password that was sent to you in a confirmation email on the request of your LMS Staff Account. If you have forgotten these details please email staff support on staff-support@webct.uwa.edu.au.

 

How do I request a LMS Staff Account?

Go to: http://staff.webct.uwa.edu.au/start_here/manage_your_lms_units and click on the Request A LMS Staff Account link.

 

How do I request a LMS Staff Account if I don’t have a Staff ID number but require access to a LMS unit?

Go to: http://staff.webct.uwa.edu.au/start_here/manage_your_lms_units and click on the Request A LMS Guest Account link.

 

How do I request a LMS account for my short course student who does not have a Student ID but requires access to my LMS unit?

If you have short course students, audit students or external to UWA guests who need access to your unit, you need to request for a guest account for them.

Go to: http://staff.webct.uwa.edu.au/start_here/manage_your_lms_units and click on the Request A LMS Guest Account link.

 

Where can I direct students who are having difficulties accessing WebCT for assistance?

All student enquiries involving internet based applications should be directed to the Student Internet Support Office (SISO). They can be contacted on 6488 3814 or via email at support@student.uwa.edu.au.

 

How do I enrol a student or a staff to my LMS unit?

How do I download or print multiple assignment submissions?

  • Select the assignments in submitted tab
  • Click Create Printable View
  • Select either Print or Save to File
  • The file is saved in the My Files area
  • Access My Files from the File Manager in the Build tab

How do I release students’ marks?
Firstly ensure the My Grades tool has been added to your unit. From the Grade Book Options ActionLinks menu select Column Settings. In the Released to Student row for the column, click No. This will replace the No with a Yes and the column is now released to students.
